30 minutes drive from Diani Beach on Mombasa's south coast, towards Shimba Hills, lies Kutazama. A retreat for Presidents, Honeymooners and Movie Stars.

The property has been created to a totally uniquie design with the vision of blending the development of each room into the natural rocks, trees and cliffs of the escarpement. The viewing lounge offers guests 180 degrees panoramic views across vast, open, virtually uninhabited wilderness.

Undoubtedly one of the most breathtaking features of the property is the huge double tiered pool, set under a 30ft high cliff, which runs the entire length of the pool area. A small feature waterfall cascades from the clifftop into the upper pool and from there escapes into the lower pool.

The property extends to 31 acres, of which 7 acres are electrically fenced both for guest security and to keep the elephants out of the garden area. The grounds are extensively landscaped and terraced with numerous meandering pathways and steps leading to viewing vantage points or shaded patio areas.

Apart from full use of the main house areas, guests are offered totally private reclusive suites. All furnishings are to the highest standards including magnificent 4-poster beds open to the african stars! A totally secluded, private patio next to the bedroom, incorporates a Jucuzzi and leads down into a hidden grotto.
